Jim Banks' expertise is in the integration of process / mechanical and process / automation disciplines into bio-pharmaceutical related projects. Jim has played a leadership role in engineering, design, construction, startup & commissioning of major elements of numerous bio-pharmaceutical facilities. Through this experience, Jim co-founded IPT to bring to market an improved design-build approach based upon discipline specific quality plans and the end-user life-cycle perspective. Jim Banks graduated from UMaine in Chemical Engineering in May 1983 and pursued an MBA at Northeastern University from 1987 until 1992.
IPT currently employs 78 full-time employees and has annual sales of over $15MM. IPT provides process and automation engineering, construction management, process module design and fabrication, as well as high purity field fabrication services to the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and semi conductor industries. IPT is based in Devens, MA with an engineering office in Cary, NC.
